Theme: WWI Western Front

About this game

This Japanese view of WWI in the West features a vivid stylized map of the European continent. The game can be played by two players or teams of up to three players each. The game provides six cut-out counters at the bottom, with Germany, Austria and Bulgaria representing the Central Powers and Russia, France and Britain the Allies.

Rules

The Central Powers start top left and Allies bottom right. Each has three possible routes across the board. The air route is shortest but has the most hazards; the land longest but safest. Once a piece arrives at its objective (Brussels or Hamburg), it must try to enter the enemy fort to win the game. It succeeds on a roll of 1 or 6. Failure sends it to red hazard spaces that are hard to escape. The goal is to get all three pieces of one side to the starting fort of the opponents.
