Playing pieces are green and blue plastic soldiers, tanks and missile launchers. The board has a grid 8 squares wide by 12 deep over an aerial view of terrain including towns, roads, contour lines, woods, and a river, which have no bearing on play. The middle two rows are shaded, representing no man's land.

Rules
Each player gets 5 soldiers, 5 tanks and 2 missile launchers. In turn, each player may move one piece one square orthogonally. To capture, a piece must move adjacent to an enemy from a legal direction. Equal pieces can capture from any side; soldiers can capture tanks only from the side or back; tanks can capture soldiers only to tank's front. The missile launcher hits from anywhere on the board, once, and then turns into a tank. Winner is the first to reach the opponent's back row.
