About this game
This game has pieces stamped with the actual numbers of six of Germany's highest scoring U-boats by 1916. U-21, for instance, was the first submarine ever to sink a ship with a self-propelled torpedo when it downed British cruiser Pathfinder on Sept. 5. 1914. The game also is remarkable for fine artwork on both cover and board. The game board also reflects many historical U-boat victories, including U-9's sinking of the "Live Bait Squadron" (cruisers Cressy, Aboukir and Hogue) on Sept. 22, 1914.

Roll and Move
Rules
Players roll and move along a 100-space track, from Helgoland around the UK and Ireland and back home. There are 20 English flag stickers wrapped around pins, and these are placed on 18 black spaces along the track. Each represents a historical sinking of a British ship. The three pins placed on space 6 represent the Live Bait Squadron sunk on Sept. 22, 1914. The first player to land on a black space collects its flag, and the winner is the one who returns home with the most flags.
