About this game

This game shows the choices facing both belligerent and neutral nations as war breaks out. Of the four players, two are the North and South belligerent powers (at war with each other), while the East and West powers start as neutrals but may be pushed or choose to enter the war on one side or the other. Playing pieces are metal war ships and planes plus merchant ship disks. Cards grant submarines and air raids at designated locations. Board is divided into four seas each with numbered squares.

Rules

Players move a piece each turn. The two powers at war score points by sinking enemy ships or trading with neutrals. The neutrals score points by trading with each other or with belligerent powers. Belligerents may attack neutrals, but doing so may cause the neutral to join the enemy power. The winner of the war gets bonus gold minus ships lost, and the player with the most gold wins.
