About this game

This rummy-type card game doubles as an aircraft-recognition training aid, approved by the National Aeronautic Association. The 52-card deck is divided into 16 sets of 3 plus 4 wild cards. Each set shows an individual aircraft from three directions: overhead, side view and front view. The deck includes 2 British, 2 German, 3 Japanese and 9 American planes.

Rules

Each player is dealt a hand of 7 cards. They immediately lay down any sets of three in their hands. Then in turn they draw one card from the remaining deck and discard a card. They may lay down sets as they are drawn, but must discard except on their final play. The first player to empty his hand wins the round. The four wild cards can be used in any set, may be taken from a played set by the player with the missing card, and count for penalties if still in hand when the game ends.
