
About this game
Based on the Marine Raider assault on Makin Island, this game requires players to navigate rough seas to the island, cause havoc there, and then retreat. The playing pieces are wooden boats with a cardboard windshield, and holding a wooden peg that jumps out to move on land. Movement is by spinner, with different results depending on the phase of the game. The island is marked with paths leading to objectives such as the airfield, HQ and oil storage.

Rules
The nighttime half of the spinner is used to move in; the inner ring for land movement; and the daytime half for retrieval. Once on land, players retrieve VP tokens from the objectives without landing on a sentry space. As soon as any player activates a sentry, all players must return to their boats within three spins or are out of the game. First player to return to base gets a VP bonus, and the player with the highest VP total wins.
