About this game
This and War of 1812 are the first two games to use the modern block system. Each piece is a square thick enough to stand on its side. The blank side is kept toward the opponent. The friendly side shows the identity of the unit and its strength, which can vary from 1 to 4. The current strength of a unit is shown by the number of pips on its uppermost side. The map shows various areas within Quebec, with the St. Lawrence River dividing the board.

Rules
Each turn, a player may move all or some of the blocks in one area to an adjacent area. If ships are present in the right river zone, pieces can move across to an area on the far shore (max 1 per ship). Battles occur when opponents occupy the same area. Players roll a number of dice equal to their current strength and remove an opposing pip for each "6". The English must capture Quebec City within 16 turns with 20 strength points remaining. Otherwise, the French win.
