About this game
This unnamed French board is notable for its strong focus (both artistically and in the rules) on the field hospital at lower left as well as the tent with the red cross near the middle. The 1860s saw the foundation of the international Red Cross in Switzerland and its spread to the United States by Clara Barton during the Civil War.
