About this game
The game board shows a naval fleet bombarding a shore battery. The most notable feature of the illustration is the inclusion of a Union Monitor-class ironclad.
Mechanism
Dice Rolling
Rules
The attacking player has 10 ships and the defender 10 shore guns, each bearing a number from 3 to 12. Players roll two six-sided dice, and mark off the opposing ship or gun with that number. Duplicate rolls are wasted, and the first player to knock out all the opposition units wins. The game was re-released by McLoughlin Bros. in 1898 under the title Game of Bombardment.
