About this game

The game board shows a sea area, with harbors at each end, and an island in each quarter. Across the board, is a network of dots connected by lines. Each dot is designated by row (letter) and column (number). Each player gets 1 flagship (A, combat value 4), 1 heavy cruiser (F, 4) , 1 light cruiser (C, 3), 3 torpedo boats (T, 2), 1 minesweeper (R, 1) 2 land batteries (B, 4) and 8 mines (m) which serve only to block movement.

Rules

All ships start in their harbor. Each turn, a player moves one ship either one or two dots in any direction. Ships may carry B to an island or m to sea, to drop during movement. When ships move adjacent, the one with the weaker combat value must retreat. A ship that cannot retreat to a space not covered by higher firepower is eliminated. A player wins either by destroying the opposing flagship, or moving a ship to the enemy's harbor.
