About this game
The game box shows a German assault as it reaches the Russian trench line. The board offers an aerial view of the fighting, including artillery duels, cavalry probes, airships, rail cars, bridge assaults and the never-ending task of digging trenches. The playing pieces are cardboard disks, 50 per army: one Commander-in-Chief, two Generals, 3 Officers, 1 Flagbearer, 19 infantry, 11 cavalry troops, 1 drummer, 1 trumpeter, 4 artillery, 2 machine guns, 1 “warcar”, 1 baggage wagon and 3 air units.

Rules
The game is more about dexterity than strategy. Each player uses a wooden stick with a flat end to try to “flip” his pieces so that they land at least in part on top of an enemy piece. The enemy piece is then eliminated. Any disk landing in the water is lost. A disk can only cross the river via one of the two bridges. A player wins by eliminating the enemy.
