About this game
This modular board game allows players to recreate both tactical exercises and historical battles. The boards are white with a square grid. To set up, players place wooden terrain features (houses, water, woods and forts) and deploy troops according to the scenario. The historical battles portrayed range from the Seven Years' War to the Franco-Prussian War. Diagram and set-up for the 1870 battle of Gravelotte are shown here.

Rules
Players alternate moving a single piece. This may move in any direction including diagonal by one space, or multiple spaces by jumping over an adjoining piece to an empty square. Multiple jumps are possible in a single move. Players may jump over friendly or enemy pieces, with enemies being removed. Battle continues until one force has been wiped out or surrenders.
