About this game
This paper version of Battleships was published as a promotional item by The Skelly Oil Co. Jimmie Allen was the star of a 1930s radio serial called The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen, which was sponsored by Skelly Oil. Instead of ships, the five targets in this game are a scout plane (2 squares long), fighter (3), bomber (4), observation balloon (5) and dirigible (6).
