About this game
This game presents a very graphic French perspective on WWI. The attack runs chronologically from the attack on France and Belgium to the armistice and handover of Alsace and Lorraine. As well as battles, spaces show German atrocities such as the execution of nurse Edith Cavell, the torture of prisoners and the use of civilians as slave workers, and French civilian sacrifices. It is a game that says “we won”, but at a horrible cost.
