About this game

This variant on L'Attaque was published shortly after the Liberation of France in WWII. Although its title would translate as "Lightning War" or "Blitzkrieg", none of the playing pieces are tanks. However, they do include aircraft and various types of bombs as well as fuel trucks to keep the planes flying. There also is a "magnetic fence" that somehow shoots down aircraft.

Rules

As in L'Attaque, initial set-up is open within each player's closest rows, and with blank sides facing the opponent. Players move one piece at a time. When an attack is declared against an adjacent piece, both are revealed and the lower value one removed. Some pieces have special powers. Winner is the first to capture either the opponent's flag piece or its "Secret Plan" piece.
