Theme: Preparing for War

About this game

This bingo-like game is very much about ensuring the preservation of democracy by preparing for war. Each player has a card showing the game’s 48 available “defense units” organized into 8 categories: soldiers, tanks, artillery, signals, fighters, bombers, officers and industry. There also is a metal slider to record money. The corresponding tiles are held initially on a Priorities Board. Players move around a Monopoly-style board with 11 spaces per side and a large spinner in the middle.

Rules

As players spin their way around the board, they try to accumulate all six pieces in one of the eight categories. Each spin results in a 1-12 move plus a choice of four tiles. When players move into some spaces on the board, they get money or are allowed to take another tile from the Priorities Board or other players. Other spaces inflict penalties. First to complete a category wins.
