About this game

This game is based on the War Adventure Series of books about the escapades of Dave Dawson and his sidekick Freddie Farmer. Players follow one of four movement tracks across a map of Europe. Each represents a different service (Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines) but the risks and encounters are identical.

Roll and Move

Rules

The game has an unusual mechanism for determining moves. Instead of rolling a die, players flick a checker up a scale on one side of the board, which must bounce back. The number it lands on determines how many spaces the player’s piece advances. Red spaces send players back two spaces. Encounter spaces flip cards for minor victory, major defeat, enemy defeat and counter-attack. First to reach the Victory space wins.
