About this game
The box has spectacular art. The board is an aerial view of countryside, marked with a square grid, 18 wide by 26 deep. The middle four rows are shaded darker, representing the front lines. The game pieces in this copy are wooden: biplane bombers; high-wing monoplane fighters; and guns with a barrel mounted on a block. They are very roughly carved and glued together. The game is not dated and may have been published after the end of the war.

Rules
Each player gets six bombers, six fighters, six anti-aircraft guns and one “Long Max” artillery piece. This was a very large (38 cm) gun originally intended for use in battleships, but that was adapted for use in WWI as a heavy siege or coastal defense gun on land. The planes start in irregular airfields in opposing corners. Guns can be placed anywhere but cannot move. Players then take turns moving a piece and either shooting or bombing.
