About this game
This game was published just after WWI by the Lord Roberts Memorial Workshops. These were named after Field Marshal Frederick Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, who won the Victoria Cross in India in 1857 and went on to become Commander-in-Chief of the Forces until 1904. Beloved by his men and a passionate advocate for disabled veterans, "Bobs" was killed in 1914 while visiting troops. The workshops provided disabled veterans with work and training, and made a wide variety of goods.
