About this game
This game celebrates the dawn of a formal global alliance against the Axis in the Jan. 1 Declaration by United Nations at the Arcadia Conference. The box cover shows the flags of alliance members spread across a map of the world. The squashed-diamond board has the names of friendly and enemy nations as starting spaces. Pieces are plastic infantry, guns, tanks, submarines, ships, fighters and bombers.
Mechanism
Move and Capture
Rules
Checkers-type move and jump rules. Allied pieces start on the U.S., U.K., Russia, China, Canada, Australia, Greece and the Netherlands Indies. Axis pieces start on Germany, Italy, Japan, Austria, Hungary, Rumania, Bulgaria, Finland and Indo-China. Infantry, tanks and guns move and jump forward only. Tanks do the same in any direction. Submarines, battleships and Flying Fortresses move one, but can jump 2, 3 and unlimited spaces to capture. Win is by elimination of all enemy pieces.
