Theme: WWII Air

About this game

This game showcases the RAF's Air-Sea Rescue Service, the combination of boats and planes used to spot downed pilots in the English Channel, to drop dinghies and supplies to keep them alive, and then to pluck them from the water and bring them home. There are various bonus and penalty spaces along the way, showing how airmen coped with the trials of ditching in the sea.

Mechanism

Roll and Move

Rules

The players get three counters. The downed pilot starts at space 1 and rolls to move up the 84-space track. At space 20, the player launches the search plane from 84. The player can use his die to move either counter, not both. The two must meet at space 44. When they do, the player begins moving the launch, also from 84. It must meet the pilot at space 60 and then bring him back to base at 84. First player back wins.
